Bears sign safety Craig Steltz
The Chicago Bears have signed safety Craig Steltz to a 4-year contract.
The team did not release terms of the deal on Monday.
The Bears drafted the Louisiana State University safety in the fourth round in April.
Steltz started 20 of 44 games at LSU and tallied 184 tackles. He ranked fifth in the school's history for passes defended (34) and sixth in interceptions (11).
The 22-year-old year old is a native of Metairie, Louisiana.
The Bears have signed 7 of their picks from the NFL draft. They are Steltz, guard Chester Adams, defensive end Ervin Baldwin, tackle Kirk Barton, tight end Kellen Davis, linebacker Joey LaRocque and wide receiver Marcus Monk.
